It was another busy day today, but thankfully we found time for some fun too. In French we practiced summarizing as we go with a Tumblebook reading of "Toupi et Binou: Le Grand Cours". We then tried a fun French vocabulary activity - the French version of Scattergories! This is a great game that I highly recommend in English, and doing it in French adds an extra challenge. In language we practiced speeches, working out the last kinks before Thursday. In math we continued to work on our polygon art and our monsters. Remember that these are due Monday! Finally, we spent part of our last block cleaning our desks, to make sure we know where our notes are! Also, to compensate for the fact that this week we were outside for one of a possible ten recesses, we played an exciting game of Gaga!
For this weekend:
-Practice your speech! Five more times Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and you'll be in good shape. I can tell some students are taking this advice, because their speeches are beautifully memorized!
-The math project - the polygon art (Grade 5) or the monster drawing (Grade 6) - is due Monday.
-If you didn't submit your recount today, it needs to be in Monday.
-Bring your math notes home to study for Wednesday's test - we'll be doing a review in class on Monday.
Have a wonderful weekend! Bon week-end!
