lundi le 9 juin

With three weeks to go, we're still going strong. This morning in French, we introduced le futur proche - how to talk about what will happen in the future! It's as simple as adding aller + the infinitive (for example - "Je vais manger" = "I'm going to eat"). You can practice this with your child at home (even if you don't speak French) by asking them what they're going to do tonight, tomorrow, or on the weekend, and asking them to answer in French. We then consolidated this skill by having a group discussion, and by writing a journal entry. In language, we continued to work on myths. Based on what I'm seeing in my conferences with students, I'm very excited about what they're going to produce! In math, we did some practice problems leading up to Wednesday's test on probability.

For homework tonight:
-Grade 5s are reminded of swimming tomorrow.
-Myths are due tomorrow! Finish them up and make them shine!
-The probability test is on Wednesday. The sheet provided is a good resource to study with. You can also use the following to prepare:
Experimental probability with fractions
Theoretical probability
Comparing theoretical and experimental probability.
More theoretical probability

Have a good night!
